Our Pastor:

Tom Truitt was raised in Delaware County in Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Media High School and Juniata College. He started his ministry at the Wind Gap and Belfast Charge while attending Moravian Seminary. After serving Paxinos Area Parish and Hopeland churches, he has now been called to minister here in Campbelltown.

Darlene is a high school graduate from the Johnstown area and received her degree from the state college in California, PA. She has been teacher, substitute teacher, and real estate agent, and Tom’s helpmate for over 30 years.

Tom and Darlene are proud parents to two daughters, both of whom are graduates of Messiah College. Donya is married to Scott Galen, and are the parents of Hannah, and Annika. Kristin is married to Pete Pzedpelski. and are the parents of Emma. Both families live in the Ephrata area close enough for “Pop and Gamaw’s” to visit regularly!

The Truitt family includes many brothers and sisters in Christ who have enriched their lives with much joy, love, and acceptance through the years.

Who We Are:

We are a Community of believers in Jesus Christ who come together to worship, study, serve, and fellowship. We are part of the United Methodist Church family. Our doors and our hearts are open to all and all are welcome to our community of faith.

What We Believe:

We believe in God our Creator, Jesus Christ our Redeemer and the Holy Spirit our Sustainer. We believe in a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord, and Friend. We believe in living out that faith in our world through loving our neighbors as God loves us. Together we seek to be the visible “body of Christ” to our neighbors. We believe in living for Christ and sharing Christ with all.

Our Vision Statement:

We, the members of the Campbelltown United Methodist Church, having been redeemed and called into Christian discipleship, believe our vision is to reach out to all persons with the love of Christ by:

God’s Vision for the Church (worldwide) is to make growing, living disciples, (who) love God and love others.

God’s Vision (Mission) for Campbelltown UMC is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through Prayer, Missions, Bible Study, and Youth/Children ministries.
